BMW have some big plans for the next gen 3-series, plans that include classing the coupe and convertible styles of this series in a whole new class. And they’ll call it the 4-series.
It may be just a name change, but it’s got to be significant, and it’ll be interesting to see what the 4-series is in 2015 or there about.
Either way the 4-series will be debuted early next year at the Detroit Auto Show and it’ll take it’s design inspiration from the 6-Series Coupe. A longer body and more sloped roofline than the current 3-series and “greater sportiness, greater exclusivity and even clearer differentiation” than the 3-Series.
Things look promising.
