Nissan has chosen the Le Mans 24 hour 2013 race to announce their entrant for the 2014 race, also the world’s fastest race car, capable of speeds upwards of 300km/h using electronic technology exclusively.
The ZEOD RC will partake in the 2014 Le Mans race using the same lithium battery technology that is found in the current Leaf EV, but I fear that’s like saying Stefan Peterhansel won the Paris Dakar in the current Mini Countryman.
They’ll also be launching new e-Drivetrain technology in the car and a “zero-emission on demand” program that cuts off all petrol-powered assistance.
Last year’s Deltawing may not have been their biggest success, but at least they’re trying new things.
