It’s another extreme sport game changer and quite possibly one of Steve’s Gadgets of the year. Check out the Radinn electric powered wakeboard.
With a little bit of decent balance and the energy-exuding wireless hand controller, riders are capable of sliding along the top of the water with the effort of a shaved duck.
And it’s about as light as that too as it’s made from lightweight carbon fiber (29kgs) and houses low mass lithium-ion batteries. The board works on a traditional propulsion system like on a jet ski and the bindings are compatible with traditional wakeboard bindings.
The whole thing is small enough to carry and fit in a car or a boat and they say it’ll reach a top speed of 48km/h.
They say it’ll be available around early 2015 and the asking price? A massive R200 000 or more.
