The car that gets this Canadian mother to drop to her knees in a fit of happiness is a restored 1973 Saab 99 EMS Coupe…not a car that you would expect someone to get weak kneed over. But then again, you’re the only one who loves their Golf 1 with dog hair in the back seat and no spare tire, so you get it.

Cory Wadden’s mom had always wanted this particular car and had even shown him a picture of it once, saying it was the car she had always wanted but could never afford thanks to her job and the expense of bringing up a child. Talk about a guilt trip.

So Cory spent the last year saving to buy and fix up the car and the video below is the moment he hands over the keys to her in an envelope that he told her came in the post. Inside the envelope was the picture she had shown him and the keys to the car. It didn’t take long for her to smile ear to ear and then collapse to her knees when she finally saw the car.

He then gets a little preachy telling the viewer to go do something nice for their parent. Fuck you mate. My folks know I love them.
