The story goes that U.S. businessman Christopher Cox was driving this rarer than drinkable tap water Ferrari through France on the way to Le Mans when he crashed and totaled it in to the car in front of him.
While participating in the 50th anniversary tour of the Ferrari 250 GTO (known as the Picasso of the motoring world), Cox crashed breaking his wife’s leg in the accident. The car, needless to say, is a write off.
The Ferarri 250 GTO was one of only 39 ever built, but don’t feel too bad for him. Pink Floyd drummer Nick Mason was there to give him a lift home in his multi-million pound Ferrari.
Specs on the car: A 3-litre V12 engine developing 222kw and a 0-100 time of 6.1 seconds.
